  1. Chapter 7 Organized Planning

    Keep in mind these facts:—
First. You are engaged in an undertaking of major importance to you. To be sure of success,
you must have plans which are faultless.

Second. You must have the advantage of the experience, education, native ability and imagination
of other minds. This is in harmony with the methods followed by every person who has accumulated
    a great fortune.
No individual has sufficient experience, education, native ability, and knowledge to insure the
accumulation of a great fortune, without the cooperation of other people. Every plan you adopt,
in your endeavor to accumulate wealth, should be the joint creation of yourself and every other
member of your “Master Mind” group.

You may originate your own plans, either in whole or in part, but SEE THAT THOSE PLANS ARE
CHECKED, AND APPROVED BY THE MEMBERS OF YOUR “MASTER MIND” ALLIANCE.
It should be encouraging to know that practically all the great fortunes began in the form of
compensation for personal services, or from the sale of IDEAS. What else, except ideas and
personal services, would one not possessed of property have to give in return for riches?
Broadly speaking, there are two types of people in the world. One type is known as LEADERS,
and the other as FOLLOWERS. Decide at the outset whether you intend to become a leader in
your chosen calling, or remain a follower.

The difference in compensation is vast. The follower cannot reasonably expect the compensation
to which a leader is entitled, although many followers make the mistake of expecting such pay.
HOW TIMES HAVE CHANGED! That is just the point I am trying to emphasize. TIMES HAVE CHANGED!

Moreover, the change is reflected not merely in railroad offices and on street cars, but in other
walks of life as well. The “public-be-damned” policy is now passé. It has been supplanted by the
    “we-are-obligingly-at-your-service, sir,” policy.

  2. The bottom line with this business and any business is RESULTS. If you have no results then nobody will follow you. Back in elementary school and in high school I had two people who talked about results. One was a friend the other was an acquaintance. They were both classmates at one time but that is besides the point.

As Ken Klemn would remember baseball ⚾️ cards were big in the late 80s and early 90s. My friend had a collection of all the baseball ⚾️ cards in his house. We would analyze the statistics of the card. How many saves etc. One time my friend said he has only 20 saves.

His classmate a few years later mentioned the year a player had only 2 points in 10 games when we played in the same basketball league. What does this tell you? Get better at the game and get RESULTS.

The main difference between success and failure is those who ADJUST. Do NOT be a Samuel Insuill who would keep something that does NOT work. Henry Ford had a sixth grade education only and he of course had massive success. There were people who had a better education than him which included college graduates who live in poverty. Because they failed to plan which means they planned to fail?

Why not learn from the mistakes of others today so that we could own our life tommorow and not be obligated to ask our boss permission to take time off work?

Get RESULTS. Vince Lombardi once mentioned without results you are NOT a leader. To get results follow the recipe. Like baking a cake. The person who follows the leader most effectively develops into the leader the quickest.

    Organized Planning!
From The Book, Think And Grow Rich!
    By Napoleon Hill,
    The Greatest Forces Are Intangible!

We see men who have accumulated great fortunes, but
we often recognize only their triumph, overlooking the
temporary defeats which they had to surmount before
    “arriving.”
No follower of this philosphy can reasonably expect to
accumulate a fortune without experiencing “temporary
defeat.” When defeat comes, accept it as a signal that
your plans are not sound, rebuild those plans, and set sail
once more toward your coveted goal. If you give up
before your goal has been reached, you are a “quitter.”
A quitter never wins–and–a winner never quits.
    (Napoleon Hill)

History teaches us about Organized Planning.
World War one and World War two, would not have
been successfully won without Organized Planning.
The Hoover Dam, The Panama Canal, a lot of
Organized planning went into these projects.
You might have to take time to get educated when it
comes to taking on a large project, that you don’t know
    anything about.
Andrew Carnegie, had to educate and visit steel mills to
learn about steel so he could build a bridge over the
Mississippi River at St Louis, Missouri, they had to build
foundation in the river for the bridge to rest on.
Can you imagine being a scuba diver back in the 1860,
1870? He had to raise the money and fiend the right
people for the jobs. All the planning had to take place
before the construction could start. It took from 1867
to 1874, once the bridge was completed they had to
convince people it was safe to cross, this was done by
getting an elephant to cross the bridge, the elephant
walked across the bridge without hesitation, and the
    people followed.
I believe we have all been gifted with talent’s, it takes
Organized programs like this to help us push against
the things we don’t think we can do.

  4. Chapter 7 – Organized Planning
Planning is bringing the future into the present so that you can do something about it now. – Alan Lakein

Most of us don’t have a problem with creating a plan. It can be fun visualizing and dreaming of what we can
do and become. Sometimes we make our plan very detailed and sometimes we make it very simple.

Jerry Brown said “The reason that everybody likes planning is that nobody has to do anything.”

We should ask ourselves, Is that why I make a plan? So that it occupies my time without having
    to do anything?

I don’t think we knowingly make a plan just so it occupies our time so we don’t have to do anything.
We may make the plan and without really understanding that is what we are doing.
    So how do we know?

We need to examine what we do after we make the plan.

Do we implement the plan? Do we just keep thinking of the plan and putting it into practice?
What do we keep busy with?

Thomas A. Edison said “Being busy does not always mean real work. The object of all work
is production or accomplishment and to either of these ends there must be forethought, system,
planning, intelligence, and honest purpose, as well as perspiration. Seeming to do is not doing.”

Paul J. Meyer said “Productivity is never an accident. It is always the result of a commitment
to excellence, intelligent planning, and focused effort.”

Let’s follow the advice of Alan Lakein as he instructed us with his quote to create plans by
bringing the future into the present so we can do something about it now.

  5. For years the plan to change my health was constantly having to be tweaked to find what would work for me to transform my health. At the moment the plan is as follows.

Swimming laps of the pool 3 days a week. At least 40 min a time.
Walk 2 days atleast 30 min.
6 days muscle strengthening exercises given by physiotherapist.
Eating healthy – barely any snacks. I rarely est anything other than breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Barely any soft drink or energy drinks.
A huge area needed addressing was overcoming the eating habits of many years, as well as eating till was satisfied.
